JENNY-LYNN KUCHTA
Suddenly on December 19, 2020, age 60.
Jenny possessed a strong intellectual and artistic curiosity. Among her talents was photography; with her keen eye she captured beautiful images of nature and people in her life.
She loved anything flora and fauna, and was a member of Assiniboine Park, Nature Manitoba and Fort Whyte Alive. Present her with a plant and she could tell you the name and family.
Unfortunately, due to declining health she could no longer go on her beloved nature hikes.
The only summer she missed going to Lake Winnipeg (Grand Marais and area) was the year she was born(1960 and it being July). She was a life-long birder and would sit for hours feeding and appreciating them.
She loved her music. Over the years she sang in various choirs and had a gift for singing harmony. She also played in a variety of instrumental groups. She was proficient (or semi-proficient) on the recorder, clarinet, mandolin, guitar, and keyboard.
Jenny retired in 2015 after more than 30 years with the Canada Revenue Agency. She will miss her retiree klatsch of Ann D., Merrill D. and Heni H.
Her rescue cats meant the world to her. If you wish to make a donation, she would have appreciated support for Siamese Rescue Winnipeg (38 Barberry Rd, Wpg., MB, R2J 2G9) or any organization supporting the welfare of animals.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Cropo Funeral Chapel.

Jenny was definitely one of a kind, her brand of humour was in the same lane as mine. I have fine memories of when she visited Brenda in Edmonton and Jasper as well when I visited Winnipeg several times. There were plenty of laughs. - Posted by: Andy Paradis (Friend) on: Dec 31, 2020

My brother and I were shocked and saddened to hear the news of Jennie's passing. We will remember Jennie for her appreciation of the nature and irreverent sense of humour. I used to pal with Jenny on Nature Manitoba and Weirers Walkers walking tours. Because we were both busy taking pictures, we were often at the end of the line. We would share some of our images when we got home. I once lost her on a hike that I led, and she waited patiently (very patiently) for me to find her again. I will miss her joyful spirit and am sad that we won't be seeing her on any more hikes. My sincere condolences to her friends and family. - Posted by: Keith Sutton (friend from Nature Manitoba) on: Dec 28, 2020

Janet, Jeff and families. I am so sorry to hear about Jenny Lyn. She was way too young. From what I understand, she knew how to light up the room as soon as she entered with joy and memorable experiences. I remember her laughter and her adventurous spirit. She kept your mom and dad busy, for sure. Blessings to you all. I know you will miss her very much. Take care. - Kim (Goss) Jasper - Posted by: Kim (Goss) Jasper (Cousin) on: Dec 26, 2020

Post-retirement, I would assemble and lead guided neighbourhood walks, and it always made me smile to have Jenny join along; unfailingly supportive, insightful, wide-ranging knowledge, she always added something great to our tour, especially the amazing photographs she so generously shared afterwards. Condolences to family and friends, sorry to hear this news. - Posted by: Rob (retired colleague) on: Dec 26, 2020

Jenny was a fun-loving person who cared for others and all living things with a passion that was illustrated in her wide grin. The lovely tribute to Jenny certainly captured her essence as expressed in her love of life, art and music. Jenny will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. We want to express our loving and heartfelt condolences to Janet, the two Brenda's, Jeff and all of the family. Jenny's spirit and love live on. . . - Posted by: Ken and Linda Boughton (Friends) on: Dec 26, 2020
