CYNTHIA MARIE TURNER
(nee COOK)
February 9, 1951 - December 29, 2020
She was predeceased by her sister Cheryl, and her father Harold.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband of 50 years, her "best friend and soulmate", Bob, and their feline "child", Hillary. Also loved and will be greatly missed by daughter Carla, and husband Brian (Neumann), and grand-dog Chase; son Lee and wife Agnieszka, and grandsons, Benjamin and Sebastian; son Aaron and wife Emily, grandsons, Elliot, Luke, and Sam, and granddaughter Hazel. Also left to mourn her passing are her mother Jean Cook, brother Curtis Cook and wife Lorraine, and their family.
To Cynthia, her family was everything. When she planned or looked ahead at the future, it was always with family in mind. Cynthia and Bob enjoyed 50 years of marriage, in large part because she was a caring person with whom you could share your thoughts, feelings, dreams, aspirations, or fears, and be sure her reaction would be with your welfare in mind. She never tried to impose her will on others, or react in an unkind, hurtful way, but would be blunt and honest, whether good or bad. Cynthia always put others ahead of herself. Her kindness was unequalled.
The family thanks Dr. Clark, Dr. Paradoski, and the rest of the palliative care team, particularly the wonderful home care people, and friends Marilyn Williams, Pat Narynski, and Irene Mytz.
As per Cynthia's wishes, cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society - stipulating pancreatic cancer.

Our thoughts are with Bob & Family at this time. Cynthia was a wonderful person, full of laughter and kindness. Always enjoyed a visit. I remember the party we had when celebrating her 40th Birthday. What a fun evening. Many stories told around the table when we were dealing with life in Portage and the changes which occurring at the time! Cynthia always had some good advice and wisdom to put forward on the table for us to consider. Our condolences to all. Auntie Jean, Bob & family - our thoughts and prayers are with you all throughout the incredibly sad and difficult time. Thinking of Cynthia brings back many fond memories of childhood times that Sylvia and I spent with Cynthia and Cheryl at either their house or ours - and the many family gatherings we had with all the Cook families. Cynthia was a wonderful person and you will cherish your memories of her, too. Condolences to all of you as well from my mom, Auntie Margaret (Oman) - Posted by: Bev Scharikow (Oman) (Cousin ) on: Jan 03, 2021
