Lionel was my older brother and I loved him. I'd like to put some perspective about Lionel's life. He wanted to live life to the fullest and he did this both in work and in pleasure. At Bristol Aerospace, he started as a machinist and eventually became an important spoke in Bristol's special projects department where he was involved in purchasing and reselling sophisticated machines and specialized buildings and overseeing their challenging installations. His work took him to every corner of North America as well as to Europe, Japan, etc. Lionel had a very good heart for his family and always jumped at the chance to help friends and neighbours like building garages, decks, and fences in his spare time. If you needed company to go on a trip, you could count on Lionel. After retirement, Lionel and Pamela travelled to far away places such as Thailand and Australia on a number of occasions and to so many places in Mexico, USA. and Canada. It hurt me to see Lionel suffering from his multiple strokes leaving him helpless for the last two and a half years at Golden Links Lodge. I will miss my beautiful brother. I offer my condolences to his wife Pamela, to son Gerald, to daughter Monique, and to son Marcel, and to their children. I also offer my condolences to all our siblings and their families. I’m so sorry to hear of Lionel’s passing. He was quite the character. He loved telling dirty jokes. I will always remember spending lots of time at the Sabourin household in Island Lakes. Lionel was not only a cousin but a genuine friend that was always willing to help in every sense of the word. Our many trips back and forth to the farm in Letellier were a treasure of conversation and experiences. I must mention that Lionel had a special relationship with my dad Roland that was something to behold. Yes indeed your suffering is over my friend Lionel. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Denis and Eva Drolet (Cousin) on: Jan 09, 2021

It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of our dear friend Lionel❤️ He will be remembered as someone who was full of life, loved fun & frolic and was game for anything. He definitely loved his wine, women & song and also relished eating a good meal! He lived life to the fullest - he worked hard and played hard and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it! His suffering is now over and will be finally in bliss with no more pain. ❤️ Much love, Richard & Patty Laroche - Posted by: Patty & Richard Laroche (Cousin/Friend) on: Jan 09, 2021
