IRENE PARRISH SEHON
Manitoba, aged 95, died peacefully on
January 7, 2021.
Irene was a kind, principled,
compassionate, thoughtful, and big-hearted woman who was deeply devoted to her late husband, Alec Sehon, and to her life as a
mother and elementary school teacher. She will also be remembered for her wit and
intellect; her courage in the face of challenge; and her passionate interests in the fields of art and current affairs.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Anthony (Vancouver, B.C., CDA) and Caroline (Chevy Chase, MD, USA); her granddaughter Caitlin (Vancouver, B.C., CDA), and her many beloved friends.
We would like to offer our grateful thanks to Dr. James Johnston and CancerCare
Manitoba, and to Dr. Hartley, and all the staff at the Grace Hospice.

I lived a few doors down from Irene and Alec on “ the Crescent” for many years. We first met 40 years ago when my children were in their early years at school. Irene was working at Carpathia School in those years. As neighbours, she always took such an interest in my own children. Whenever we met, I looked forward to our friendly and easy flowing conversations. She was everything you said about her in this tribute. A lovely person, who is remembered and will be missed.
