LINDA VERMETTE

It is with great sadness that the family of Linda Beauchamp announces her sudden passing on December 26, 2020.
Linda was born in Dauphin, Manitoba in June 1955 and spent much of her childhood in Churchill, Manitoba. She briefly moved to Winnipeg before settling in Calgary, Alberta where she worked for Alberta Telephones before attending SAIT for broadcasting. She went on the do sports broadcasting after she moved back to Winnipeg.
In Winnipeg she was involved in the film industry, with CBC and APTN. She spent a short time with Manitoba Lotteries before she went on the work for Revenue Canada. She married Michael Beauchamp in January of 2004. She retired in April of 2018.
Linda had many friends that she loved to spend time with especially outdoors around a nice fire. Many of her former coworkers had become long time friends which she enjoyed meeting for lunch and coffee. Watching the Winnipeg Blue Bombers with her friends and brothers was a favoured pastime. She enjoyed traveling and spent many vacations in Mexico, her favourite destination.
She is predeceased by her father Edwin Vermette and her husband Mike Beauchamp in January 2019. As well as her beloved dogs Bob and George.
She is survived by her mother Gisele Vermette of Dauphin, her brothers Greg and John both of Winnipeg, her sister Darlene (husband Kevin Tosczak) of Calgary. As well as her nieces, Pamela Vermette (Preston), Lana Archambault (husband Guy, Jace and Juliette), and Tamara Tosczak and nephews, Sheldon Vermette (Aidan, Ava, Casey, Laila May) and Cole Tosczak.
The family will have a private service due to Covid. Those wishing to send condolences are welcome to send them to Voyage Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Linda's honour to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
A Celebration of Life will be organized for the summer of 2021 when gatherings are once again allowed. She will be dearly missed.
