Left to mourn him is his wife Gloria of 48 years, along with three sons: Jeffrey (Rachel), Ryan (Carly), Wesley (Sherry); four grandchildren, Robert, Jessica, Callie and Brynnlee; four sisters; three brothers; numerous in-laws and their families, along with many friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, in-laws, two brothers, two sisters, three brothers-in-law, and one sister in-law.
We are saddened by our loss, but we know that Jerry would have wanted us to be strong and love each other even more than he did.

JERRY SAMUEL CHUBATY
June 27, 1948 January 4, 2021
Left to mourn him is his wife Gloria of 48 years, along with three sons: Jeffrey (Rachel), Ryan (Carly), and Wesley (Sherry); four grandchildren, Robert, Jessica, Callie and Brynnlee; four sisters, Anne, Sylvia (Leonard), Elsie, Nancy (Bill); three brothers, Bill (Helen), Bob (Therese), and Larry; sisters-in-law, Helen, Marge, and Nettie; in-laws, Donald (Linda), Stephanie, Debra, and Robert (Monica) and their families as well as numerous friends.
He was predeceased by his parents and in-laws, two brothers, two sisters, three brothers-in-law, and one sister-in-law.
Jerry's first job was at Paulin Chambers, then spent 40 years at Borland Construction until his retirement.
During retirement, he enjoyed going to the pasture, hunting, and yard work. He was trying to grow the perfect biggest pumpkin, making sure the water was on each morning. He spent many hours with Bob and the cattle on the farm. He also enjoyed hosting yard parties to get togethers with family and friends.
As for Larry, when Jerry needed an extra pair of hands, who did he call? Brother Larry. Even on that last morning when Jerry didn't arrive at the farm, Larry went to look for him. He arrived at the accident site only to be the one to find his brother; brought together one last time. Always there for each other!
Jerry was there for anyone who needed his help whether it be for an hour job or a whole day giving of himself and being pleased at the end of the day.
He could not wait for weekends when his boys and the girls came over and always loved being with his grandchildren. They were the absolute love of his life. He was proud of them all and what he had taught them.
He was fortunate to travel to many destinations with his wife Gloria and especially times when the children joined them. This included Disney World in Florida, Las Vegas, Mexico, Western Canada and numerous times to his favorite condo in Honolulu, Hawaii.
We are saddened by our loss, but we know that Jerry would have wanted us to be strong and adjust to life without him. May we always remember, cherish and keep him in our hearts. We know he will be watching over us.
He was a long-time member of the Holy Trinity Church in Stuartburn and if anyone so desires, they can donate to the church cemetery fund.
As to his wishes he will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will occur at a later time.
Thank you to all that were a part of his life and to Birchwood Funeral Chapel for arrangements.
