PEGGY LYNN WASKUL
June 6, 1965 - December 31, 2020

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Peggy Lynn Waskul, age 55, on December 31, 2020. We have lost a Sister, Aunty, Niece, Cousin, and Friend.
Peggy will be missed by her siblings Robert (Lori), Kevin (Karen), Keith (Jackie), Cheryl (Randy), Carrie (Tommy); nieces and nephews Michelle (Eric), Justin, Tiffany (Scott), Jake and Kaleia, as well as, her great-nieces. She also leaves to mourn, her best friend and long time buddy Shirly and SamGirl, as well as, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends from the cottage, work and baseball.
She was predeceased by her dad Jerry and stepmom Frances, and her mom Marie (Dennis), among others.
Peggy was a painter by trade, but it was her love of aircraft that led her to her most recent job at Standard Aero. She loved fast cars and playing baseball with any team who was lucky to have her. In the summer she spent her free time at the cottage in Lac Du Bonnet. If she wasn't playing horseshoes, or fixing the cottage up, she was on the lake. Whether it was fishing, floating, or boating, she loved being on the water.
Since her passing, so many people have reached out to us and have expressed how fortunate they were in knowing Peggy. She will be missed and remembered by many.
A cremation has taken place, and there will be no formal service, due to current restrictions. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate in Peggy's name to a Mental Health Association charity of your choice.

Now in typical Peggy style...
BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BABY - later!

  • I am a lifelong friend of Peggy's. We went to school together and spent many formative years hanging out with all our friends in the North End as young teenagers. We reconnected as adults and she came to visit me out East where I showed her the sights of Ottawa...Peggy was there for me when my brother suddenly passed away in 2017 and I had come back to Winnipeg for the funeral . I will always be grateful for the friendship we shared. She was one of a kind, no pretentions and always said it like it was......God bless you Peggy...You will forever be in my heart. Condolences to all of your family and friends.....Boom boom boom!! - Posted by: Suzanne Toth (Friend) on: Jan 16, 2021

  • I am very sorry for your loss and send you all the deepest of condolences. We lost a shining light here on earth and Peggy became a shining bright star in the heavens above us. I worked with Peggy for several years and always left her work area laughing and thankful we had her as a team mate. I was lucky enough to get to know her outside of work and she helped me move into my new home and help paint it. I drove her nuts how slow and messy I was but she was amazingly patient. I feel honoured to have those memories of those weekends here. Its hard to walk by her area and not be able to count on her laugh or spunky greet. I was blessed for her short time in my life. Missy you Peggy. Forever a friend and fa. Jenn Harding - Posted by: Jenn Harding (Coworker-Friend) on: Jan 16, 2021
