DENNIS KOLISH
Dennis was born in Winnipeg on June 30, 1940. He attended David Thompson High (Elmwood). He was predeceased by his father Michael in 1993 and his mother Helen in 1975.
Dennis was employed with CNR for 37 years. He enjoyed keeping busy and being involved in many things - whether coaching at the community club or volunteering at the Pan-Am Games in Winnipeg.
In his retirement years, he spent his winters in Mesa, Arizona where he volunteered for the Canadian Snowbird Association where he was awarded a plaque in recognition for all his hard work.
One of his favourite things to do was camping, fishing, playing guitar and singing around the campfire at first in Betula Lake and later at For All Campground before he retired.
Dennis leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Ann, son Norman (Donna) daughter Barbara (Brent); five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, as well as nephews, nieces and many friends.
Special thanks to all the staff at Donwood Manor for the incredible care and support they provided.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life for Dennis will follow, to be determined at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
