KEVIN GLENN GIBSON
Left to cherish his memory are his wife and best friend of 40 years, Brenda; daughters, Breanne and Coral (Matthew); grandson Shep and stepmom Bernice. He was predeceased by his parents, Ken and Rita and his sister Sandra.
Kevin enjoyed a 35 year career with the City of Winnipeg Water and Waste Department. He also ran a contracting business in his spare time and during his retirement. He never stopped working and always had a project on the go.
Kevin lived for his family, his friends and his time at Pye's Landing on Lake of the Woods. He loved being on the water in his boat, fishing and sitting on the deck with his family and friends, to have a laugh, a good meal and a rum. He loved hockey and played in the Southdale Old-Timers Hockey League for over 20 years, where he met many of his closest friends. He looked forward to his yearly boat, fishing and golf trips with his buddies. He was the ultimate example of what a husband, father, grandfather and friend should be.
Kevin's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to CancerCare Manitoba and the doctors and nurses of the St. Boniface Hospital and Health Sciences Center.
A celebration of Kevin's life will be announced at a later date, when we are safely able to come together. In the meantime, Kevin's family kindly requests that his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by visiting his tribute page at EthicalDeathCare.com. A photo-biography, as well as memories and stories published by those who knew him, are available there.
