RUDY ROSENTHAL
March 17, 1948 - February 21, 2021
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Linda, of 50 years, their children: Brenda (Kort and his children), Janice (Jason); and grandchildren, Evan and Allison.
He also leaves behind his four brothers: Frank, Alfred (Marlene), John (Carolyn) and Gordon and their families; his sister-in-law Mary (Bill); brother-in-law John (Amanda) and brother-in-law Ed and their families, along with the many friends he made over the years.
Rudy was predeceased by his parents, Dan (Ella) Rosenthal, in-laws, John (Helen) Krahn, sisters-in-law, Clara and Irene.
He started his plumbing career in 1969, working for different companies over the years. He got his 50 year life member card from the local 254 in 2020.
In 1982, he started work at a physical plant at the University of Manitoba. He worked for them for 32 years before retiring on February 14, 2014.
Once he retired hobbies kept him busy. Many a day spent in the heated garage making stone geese and herons. He built bird feeders, log bird houses for wrens, card holders, game boards and wishing wells. He also made old fashioned farmer sausage with the help of his dear friend Joe.
A special thank you to his caregivers, as well as the nurses and doctors at Bethesda Regional Health Centre. They heard many of his jokes.
He will be missed by many.
A virtual service will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2021. Please contact the family for more information.

I will always remember Rudy for his kind heart, patience and knowledge of his trade. From being his coworker to eventually being his boss I could always count on his steady demeanour and his sense of humour to keep me grounded. He was a good friend to many, and will be truly missed by those who had the pleasure to cross his path. My condolences to Linda and the girls, but you have many memories to keep him close to your heart. RIP Rudy. M - Posted by: Allan borsboom (Coworker ) on: Mar 10, 2021
