DEANNA POMERANSKY
July 21, 1940 - February 23, 2021
Lovingly remembered by her husband of 61 years, Samuel; her children, Burt and Debbie, Lynn and Cliff; her grandchildren, Curtis, Jennifer and Dave; as well as her brother and sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
Deanna loved life no matter what challenges she faced. A greeting from Deanna always included a hug and a kiss, and her beautiful smile. She had many interests including gardening of flowers and vegetables, bird watching, and hiking at Birds Hill Park. Family was very important to her and she enjoyed the many gatherings, whether it was a meal shared, coffee or a glass of wine. Deanna had many good friends at the Good Neighbours Seniors Centre, where she enjoyed volunteering and attending classes. It was a very important and happy part of her life. She will be greatly missed.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.

So very sorry for your loss. Deanna will be missed by so many people as well as her dear family. I have know Deanna and Sam since the day they arrived at GNALC looking for new opportunities in their recent retirement. It didn’t take them long to become active members, exploring courses, social activities and volunteer opportunities. Deanna became a most valued reception volunteer, bringing her expertise from the workplace as well as her incredible people skills. She was friendly, efficient, helpful and treated everyone with kindness and respect. Over the years she took on more and more of the various office jobs needing the centre’s attention. She always welcomed others with a big smile, a warm hug and caring concerns. For these qualities she was adored and well-respected. She loved her family and always spoke of them with pride. Being a new grandma myself we had many conversations about our precious grandkids. She was so proud of the fine young people they had become. Rest In Peace our friend, you will be so missed. Special thoughts go out to Sam. Lynda Jones, former GN staff member and friend. - Posted by: Lynda Jones (Friend and coworker) on: Feb 27, 2021
