ALLAN MARTIN ROWE
March 25, 1941 - March 1, 2021
Allan was born in Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba to Victor and Mabel Rowe. After moving to Winnipeg, he met Pauline Sands who became his wife in 1961. Together they raised Richmond (Grant) and Heather Anne in Charleswood.
He was truly a master of many trades. Whether building radios, electronics, computers, airplanes, dune-buggies, the home he raised his family in, or the cradle his grandchildren slept in, there was nothing he could not build or fix. He was the one we called on when we needed practical advice, or something fixed or built.
In his earlier years, Allan was an avid amateur radio operator (VE4ABU), pilot, member of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons (Freemasons); the Khartum Temple of the Shrine (Khartum Shrine) Komedians as well as a regular at the original Charleswood Hotel where he made many lifelong friends.
His memory will be cherished by his wife of 59 years, Pauline, his son Grant (Dawn Rowntree) Rowe and daughter Heather (Darryl) Fahlman; his grandchildren, Thane Rowntree, Aidan, Liam and Morgan Fahlman.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no services held at this time. Al's family kindly requests that his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by visiting his tribute page at EthicalDeathCare.com. A photo-biography, as well as memories and stories published by those who knew him, are available there.
The family wishes to express our utmost appreciation for the amazing staff at Tuxedo Villa. Each and every one of you made a positive difference in Allan's final years.

Sorry to hear about Al. We were co-workers when he was at the Health Sciences maintenance department. He was always willing to lend a hand or provide advice. A good man to have on your team.. - Posted by: David Robertson (co worked and friend) on: Mar 07, 2021

My condolences to the Rowe family. I knew Al through Ham Radio. Our dads both worked as radio operators for Wings Limited in northern Manitoba before World War II. The Manitoba Amateur Radio Museum Inc. wwwmarminc.ca offers condolences to the Rowe family. 73 Al VE4ABU/VE4GJ - Posted by: Bruce Johnson (Amateur Radio friend ) on: Mar 06, 2021
