It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ben on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at the age of 81 at Saint Boniface Hospital.
We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff on the 3rd floor of the Foyer Valade for their compassionate care of Ben.
As a result of Covid-19 restrictions, the immediate family will have a private service on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 1:00 PM. The recorded service may be viewed at www.cropo.com on Ben's tribute page.

My condolences to Monsieur Remillard's family. I was a French student of his at JT Collegiate and have only him to thank for my French language skills which have carried me throughout my life. I can speak and read French because of Monsieur Remillard. He was a 'larger then life' teacher at JT exacting in his his demands and expectations of his students. I remember looking forward to his classes as they were always interesting especially with regard to the hijinks that occurred there- because he tolerated them. An era has passed with his death. He not only taught French grammar and writing but a love for the beauty of the language and the importance of accent and pronunciation.
