ELMER EDWARD GILBERT BRESCH
December 18, 1925 - November 25, 2020
Remembered by his only child Reg Bresch; daughter-in-law Brenda; and grandchildren, Milaini and Casey Bresch; also mourning are Elmer's brother and sister, Edwin and Esther Bresch in Saskatchewan; sister-in-law Adina, and her son Rene Dufaut in British Columbia; along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Elmer was predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Adeline Bresch in 2019.
Elmer was born on December 18, 1925 to Minnie and Emil Bresch on a farm south of Esk, Saskatchewan. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1943 and took training in the motor transport drivers division in Trenton, Ontario. In 1945 he was posted overseas with the Missing Search and Recovery Unit. He returned in 1947 and resumed farming with his father and brother in Saskatchewan, married Adeline in 1951 and had one son Reginald in 1952. Then moved to Winnipeg where Dad worked in the electronics industry which took him to Saskatoon and then back to Winnipeg where he retired in 1990.
Dad was a hardworking, hands on man and enjoyed creating a multitude of beautiful wood pieces that he sold at the St. Norbert Farmers Market and numerous craft shows throughout Manitoba. He got much pleasure in seeing people appreciating his meticulous handicrafts. His legacy of ELMER'S WOODART will be cherished by his family and friends. Dad enjoyed every moment he spent with his grandchildren from the moment they were born and into adulthood. Dad lived a good, long life and has left us with heartfelt gratitude and so many memories, we will miss you Pops and Opa.
Elmer and Adeline's urns will be placed in the family plot at Brookside Cemetery in Winnipeg later this year.

I remember Elmer very well and he was a friend and staff member and manager at CamGard Supply. I had known Elmer for at least 35 years and he was humorous and always helpful and someone you can count on. They don't make them like this anymore. He will be missed and to all his family and friends, my thoughts are with you - Posted by: Douglas (Friend and former business friend) on: May 12, 2021

Dear Reg, Brenda, Milaini and Casey, I am so sorry to hear of your father/grandfather's passing due to this dreadful virus. I often spoke with Elmer while admiring his wooden craftsmanship on display at the St. Norbert's Farmer's Market during past summers. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you as you mourn his passing. May you cherish the many fond memories of past happier times of his very long life. With deepest sympathy, Morna-June Morrow - Posted by: Morna-June (M-J) Morrow (Acquaintance through his grandchildren) on: Apr 24, 2021
