Cathy was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on January 28, 1965. She is survived by her loving husband, Kelly, son, Dylan, and daughter, Samantha.
Cathy is remembered by her father Frank, mother Marie, sister Annette (Brent), brother Frank, sister Emily (Mike); nieces, Jessica and Stephanie; and nephews, Trevor and Nathan.
Cathy grew up in Transcona and it was no secret that she loved life. Cathy wanted to make the most of every day, whether it was in her younger years playing a competitive game of baseball or bowling with her husband - she enjoyed every minute of it. Later on, as she fought her courageous battle with cancer, her highlights along with being with her family were the coffees, choir nights, and get-togethers with her girls.
Beautiful, happy, strong, and resilient is who she is. A bright shining star that filled a room with light and laughter. She will be forever in our hearts and greatly missed.

I am so saddened to hear of Cathy's passing. She was one of the dearest friends I had in High School and beyond. She truly had one of the most giving, generous hearts, with such a tenacity for life. I truly admired her. We shared in one another's wedding celebrations. We had many laughs and heart to hearts. Although we lost touch over the years she was always dear to me and was a formative example to me. I am sorry to hear about this. I have only met Cathy a few times over the years through her sister Emily. She was very happy and full of life, in fact the last time I saw her was at an outdoor concert where she danced all night, she had a real love for music, and she had such a great time, so full of energy.
