JOSE BENEVIDES FURTADO
Jose was predeceased by his wife Maria Dos Anjos Furtado.
He is survived by his four daughters, Luisa (Joe) Pereira, Ana (Eduardo) Moniz, Filomena (Celestino) Figueiredo, Maria (Carlos) Andrade; three sons, John (Doris), Tony, Carlos (Shelly); grandchildren, Marco, Jason, Brian, Johnathan, Christopher, James, Robert, Ricky, Sandy, Brina, Michelle, Nicole, Sabrina, Sarah, Samantha; and many great-grandchildren; one sister in Portugal; nephews and nieces in US and Portugal.
Jose was born in Saomiguel Acores on January 13, 1930. He came to Winnipeg in 1971 where he stayed and raised his family. Jose was a loving husband and a caring father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be sadly missed.
Special thanks to Maples Personal Care Home Staff that helped Jose.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 22 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Marco Pereira, Jason Pereira, Robert Moniz, Ricky Moniz, Christopher Furtado and James Furtado.
