JAMES MAXWELL SQUIRES
May 4, 1935 - May 13, 2021
Jim was predeceased by his wife Betty; stepson Dan Lenz; granddaughter Amanda Lenz; and son-in-law RJ Kennedy.
Jim leaves to mourn his passing, wife Eileen; children, Bob Squires (Tammy) and Cathy Nesbitt (Rick); stepchildren, John McMillan (Donna), Vickie Kennedy, Kathy Loeppky (Brian) and Scott McMillan; grandchildren, Michael Squires, Jason Bock, Jeffrey Bock, Lisa Cullen, Jana Kennedy (Mauricio), Steven McMillan (Lindsay), Jennifer Berch (Nolan) and Steven Lenz (Pie); 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
During his life, he worked at a number of very interesting jobs as an accountant. As he would say 'Not all accountants are stuffy!"
In the last 20 odd years since retirement, he made travel his vocation. For 14 years Weslaco, Texas was home base during the winter. Jim managed to get 30 cruises, five long bus trips and many shorter bus trips into Canada, USA, Costa Rica, and Mexico checked off his bucket list, until cancer put a hole in his bucket.
Jim's intelligence, sense of humour, and hearty laugh will be missed.
According to Jim's wishes, he was cremated and no memorial service will be held. An interment will be held at a later date with family.
