I am grateful for having met Syd and for his friendship. I will always remember him as a man of decent character, hard working; he had grit and could persevere. I know there are many young men he mentored and patiently taught the skills and attitude necessary to be a good plumber, a good worker, a good person. Rest In Peace now my friend, your work and trials on earth are over now; you will be missed but not forgotten. I offer my deep condolences to Syd’s family, to his children and grandchildren and to Sheila; to the people he loved. One of the good ones was here with us but gone too soon. Thanks for your friendship Syd … - Posted by: Brad Marr (Friend ) on: Jun 09, 2021

Sheila & family. I was sorry to hear about Syd’s passing. At Randall Plumbing, we could always count on Syd as a truly dedicated employee, coworker and friend. Syd taught me the value of hard work. To do the job once and to do it right. I became a better plumber, foreman, and owner because of Syd. I am grateful for all Syd taught me in the trade and in life. He will be truly missed. Our thoughts are with you. Tom and Cathy Sheldon - Posted by: Tom & Cathy Sheldon (Coworker& friend ) on: Jun 08, 2021

Dear Sheila, I would like to offer you my deepest sympathy for the loss of your husband Sid. He was the first person I worked for when I started at Randall Plumbing in 1988. He taught me more than just the plumbing trade in the years that followed. He instilled on me that the most important thing there is after a hard days work is going home to your family and enjoying life. He was an incredibly smart, kind, loyal and superb plumber who has left his mark on so many projects/buildings in Winnipeg & Manitoba. His dedication to detail and "do it right the first time" was one of the reasons Randall Plumbing had such a good reputation and made me the person I am today. I will truly miss him. I am so sorry for your loss. A good friend gone to soon. Sincerely, Wayne - Posted by: Wayne McKenzie (Friend ) on: Jun 07, 2021

Our sincere condolences to Sheila, Geoff & Leslie & all the page family. Syd & I first met on the first day of school in September 1950. Syd, his Brother Herb & another friend Arnold Walkden all became instant lifelong friends that day. Unfortunately & way too early, we lost both Herb, Arnold & another friend of the group of 5 of us. Syd was our Best Man at our wedding on Sept 10th/66. We have been Best friends for 71 years. Even though we moved to Vernon, BC, Syd & I always stayed in touch as if we just saw each other the previous week. He will be sadly missed & loved forever. - Posted by: Alex (Sandy) & Judy Stratton (Friends) on: Jun 05, 2021
