JOSEPH JAMES DUSIK
January 15, 1936 - June 11, 2021
Dad was predeceased by his loving wife Doreen (married 62 years), parents, James and Florence Dusik, brothers, Jerry, Rudy, Irvin, in-laws, Nestor and Germaine DeMeyer, and brother-in-law Pierre Dalrymple. Left to mourn are his three sons, Darren (Wendy), Brad (Tami), Kerry (Kathy); grandchildren, Jordan, Justin, Tess, Brendan, Tiffany, Bryce, great-granddaughter Keira Dusik (sweetie); brother Victor (Jude); sisters-in-law, Jolanna, Joyce, Marilyn, Bernice Reimer, Linda Dalrymple, their families and numerous cousins and friends. A special mention to his cousin Eddie Konechny and lifelong friend Dorothy Erb.
Dad was born and raised on the family farm in Oak Bluff, Manitoba by his parents, James and Florence, who immigrated to Canada from Czechoslovakia. Dad was the fourth born to a family of five boys, where farming was the way of life. Good old-fashioned hard work, a happy, loving home and a full tummy. What more could one ask for.
Joe and Doreen met at the DeMeyer Dairy Farm, fell in love and were married September 25, 1958. They raised their three boys on the family farm, with strong morals, values and instilled a strong work ethic in each of them. Their door was always open to all. They always welcomed company. Dad was a proud farmer through and through. His other passion was building and grooming a gorgeous farmyard, which he and Mom took so much pride in. Many people would stop and pull into the driveway to compliment both Dad and Mom on their beautiful yard, frequently asking for advice.
We are shocked and saddened by the passing of our Dad (Grandpa and Great-Grandpa) just 11 days after the passing of our Mom (Granny and Great-Granny). We know in our hearts, however, that they were never apart from each other for any length of time, and now they are together forever in heaven.
Special thanks to the Grace Hospital's doctors and nurses for providing care and compassion for our dad when we could not be there during these very trying and difficult times due to the pandemic.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Within our hearts and in our memories, you and your love will remain with us always.

My deepest heartfelt condolences đ for your tremendous loss right after the loss of your dear Mother. Joe was the greatest friend and person in my Dad, Wimâs (Timmers) life and was there through everything, always for him. Your dad helped me so much and kept in touch after my Dadâs passing and shared so much with me at the prayers for my Dad that I never knew and I was grateful to hear. I am heartbroken in this moment and am so sorry. One thing I do know, your Mom and Dad were âsalt of the earthâ people and raised an amazing family that will surley endure and ultimately thrive. Sending blessing and condolences đ - Posted by: Marcy Lester (Friend) on: Jan 08, 2023

I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers and love to ALL of Joe And Doreenâs family. They were both very close friends to my parents. And later became as close friends to me as well. I canât tell you how grateful I am to have known and loved them both. I will forever miss their love and support. Iâm glad to have shared many happy memories dancing, laughing and crying with them both. They were a source of strength and love for me when I needed them the most. I wish you, the same love and support Joe and Dor graciously gave to me. They were very proud of you all. I know they loved you deeply. They live through you and will be within you always. - Posted by: Jennifer Schellenberg (Friend) on: Jun 29, 2021
