DIANE DAVIES
Diane was a social worker and supervisor in group homes for Neecheewam. Diane and Allan took care of many foster kids. Diane and Allan first met in 1984 at a social club. They were two peas in a pod, filled with love and admiration for each other. If one was feeling down, the one would pull them up. They were game to try new things, and they were there for one another no matter what. One of their favourite sayings was "Go big or go home!" Allan started a new career in real estate in 1988. He moved to RE/Max on Henderson Hwy. in 1991, and in the mid 1990s Diane started at RE/Max on McPhillips St. So they could then say they had you covered from East to West! Diane and Allan had their favourite holiday spot... Hawaii, they referred to it as "True Paradise".
In June 2020 Diane started her battle with lung cancer. She slowly got stronger and was just starting to turn the corner, when she was diagnosed with COVID-19.
Diane had a special place in her heart for everyone that she met. Whatever your connection to Diane was; remember, all of your time and memories with her and she will forever be in your heart.

Mom there are so many memories of you. I guess God must need more 👼 as you were one. You'll be forever missed and loved. It was with shock when I learned you passed. I know mom you were weak and just didn't win that fight all that knew you, knew you were stubborn and a fighter. Gonna miss the lunches and talks we did have. I was your only daughter and friend. Mom was a great cook and loved to entertain as well as travel. Mom was also an amazing foster parent and Allan her husband/best friend would give the heart off their sleeves to help out. I'm also gonna miss those fried egg sandwiches we'd eat when neither of us could sleep. You're in my heart mom and will be forever missed by me. I wish we/I could of been there for you at those last moments. Thank you all for helping mom cope comfortably in the end. With love mom, may you Rest in Peace and be joined by your Father August and Mother Rose and jersey boy. So many hugs and kisses I'm gonna forever miss you. I met Diane 12 years ago and immediately knew the kind and generous person she was. I admired her for many things and especially how she wanted to give back and help foster children. Diane was a classy lady and I enjoyed her company very much when I did get to see her. Alan, you are very lucky to have had her in your life. May she Rest In Peace. - Posted by: Raquel Davies (Daughter in law) on: Jun 26, 2021
