FRANCES ONYSHKO

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Frances on June 26, 2021. She passed peacefully at home with her two sons by her side.
Predeceased by her husband Walter; son Brian and daughter Diane. She will be lovingly remembered by sons, Wayne and Ron (Birte), and daughter Darlene. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Nicole (Scott), Stacey (Dustin), Ryan (Laura) and Avery (Leslie), and her great-grandchildren, Owen, Connor, Isla and Alleah.
Frances spent her childhood on the farm in Melrose, and met and married Walter and then moved to Winnipeg. There they raised five children, and family was everything to Frances. There were many family outings to the beaches around Manitoba and Ontario along with many fishing trips. Frances loved caring for her children and grandchildren in many ways, but none more than through her cooking. Her perogies and cabbage rolls were the favourite of everyone and she loved showing her secrets on how to make them to her kids and grandkids.
Her service will be held on July 6, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Church in Cooks Creek. A luncheon will be served at the Cooks Creek Community Centre following the service.

  • My deepest heartfelt sympathy to Frances’s family! Clearly to this lovely Lady family was everything. This is evident in the natures and characters of the children she raised and by the devotion and respect they demonstrated toward her up to the last! Truly she is in Our Lord’s loving embrace, and may God Bless and Keep Frances’s family now, and unto eternity when they may reunite with her. Again, my deepest sympathy!
