LEIGH-ANN SLAWSON-PATRICK
She leaves to mourn her mother Geraldine; brother Jeff; as well as many cousins and close friends, too numerous to mention. She was predeceased by her father Alden Irving Slawson.
Leigh-Ann graduated from Fort Richmond Collegiate in 1984. Following graduation, she pursued a variety of interests. She loved to travel to exotic places, including Australia and Thailand. She became a professional hair stylist and a professional medical secretary. Her real love was fashion, and she was able to spend the remainder of her life in a career she loved, in the fashion industry at Lorenza.
Leigh-Ann had a unique and quirky sense of humour; she was a kind and compassionate person; she loved animals and was especially fond of her beloved cat Maroon.
A memorial service for Leigh-Ann will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2021, 1:30 p.m. at Kings Park. Parking is available in the second parking lot on the left side of the road in the park. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, capacity is limited to 25 people.
Leigh-Ann's family kindly requests that her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by visiting her tribute page at EthicalDeathCare.com. A photo-biography, as well as memories and stories published by those who knew her, are available there.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, or a charity of your choice.

Today I was reunited with a friend from scientific school of beauty that I haven't seen in 35 years. As we reminisced about our days in beauty school we talked about Leigh-Ann with fond memories of her care free spirit, sense of humor and the most amazing laugh (which I very vividly can remember) I googled her name to learn of her passing. We shared many laughs together and fun times but lost contact over the years. I'm saddened to hear of her passing and my sincere condolences to all of her family, loved ones and friends. I myself had a trip down memory lane today which made me smile from ear to ear. Which then turned to sadness to learn of her of this news, but now I'm thinking of all the memories, laughs and bad perms and haircuts we gave to those as we learned our craft. Lol. Rest in peace Leigh-Ann (best hair in heaven). - Posted by: Alan Gorlick (Friend ) on: Jan 15, 2023

From a very young age I see pictures of us together throughout the years of elementary, jr high and high school. Saw us together in a family pictures at birthday parties. Although my memory of growing up is choppy. I know we were friends and what I can remember is that Leigh-Ann was soft spoken, gentle and kind. So very sorry for your loss.
