• Spent time at their house when Helen helped me with the Brownie Pack over at Willow Center. Our kids were about the same age so we all spent lots of time at Northwood CC - baseball, ringette, carnivals and socials (no pandemic then). Earl was easy to like, always joking and smiling. • Lived 2 doors down from the “Short Family”. As a 15 yr old ‘bopper” walking past my house, Earl, who I always looked up to, always chatted and walked with this 8 yr old punker as he headed to Sisler and I to Florence Nightingale.
