IRMA VEDOYA
June 25, 1946 July 16, 2021
Born to Elias and Lucina Vedoya in Laguna, Philippines, Irma was the eldest of nine children. Although she never married or had children of her own, Irma was a mother-figure to all her siblings, as well as nieces and nephews.
Words alone cannot describe Irma. Her selflessness was a prime example of how she was as the eldest of the family. From a young age, she sacrificed her own education to help her parents raise her siblings. Whatever she had, she would part and make sure those who needed it would have some too.
Irma was always able to find the greatest joys in the simplest things. She loved seeing flowers bloom and breathing the fresh air at dawn. She enjoyed scrapbooking, and most importantly she loved watching Filipino dramas on her iPad. During times of uncertainty, her greatest advice was to "take it to Jesus." Love was her luxury, and faith was her wealth. Irma's life may have ended, but her legacy lives on.
Irma is survived by five brothers, Elizer, Bonifacio, Abelardo, Ruben and Noel; two sisters, Asuncion and Myrna; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Holy Ghost Cemetery (4387 Main Street, West St. Paul).
The family of Irma would like to specially thank Dr. Ed Malabanan for his dedication to Irma's wellbeing, as well as the Regional Palliative Care Team for the service they have provided in ensuring that her last moments on earth were serene and comfortable.
To God be the glory!
