RICHARD WALTER GREEN
He remains in the hearts of his wife Maureen; daughters, Tamara (Jonathan) and Katherine (Brent); and brother David (Michelle). Papa will also be remembered by his grandchildren, Connor and Keanna. Rick was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Gwen.
Rick had a quiet calm about him and he faced his illness the same way without complaint. He never lost his sense of humour and even after losing his speech, he found creative ways to join in with his funny comments and observations. Rick has also been loved throughout the years by the family dogs and he welcomed them all. He will be missed by his beloved dog Luke.
We wish to thank Dr. C. Duprat, the Palliative Care Team and the ALS Society.
As per Rick's wishes, there will be no service.
If friends so desire, donations may be made to the ALS Society of Manitoba.

Got to know Richard later in life and enjoyed our encounters on Zoom, phone and emails. A person I wish I got to know much sooner. Looked forward to seeing him on the next Winnipeg trip. Cousin Rick was 16 went I was born, well into his teenager years of adventure and finding his way!! My brief remembrance of Rick was always gentle and kind! My heartfelt condolences as you go through this time - I am sure even as Rick battled ALS, you learned much through his eyes!! Blessings to you Maureen and family as you navigate life differently!
