ROY HALEY
He will be reunited in passing with his loving wife, Pat, who he dearly missed.
Roy is survived by his sister Patricia (Gunther); daughter Jodie and son-in-law Darryll. He will be greatly missed by his granddaughter and lunch buddy Leah; grandchildren, Adam (Celia), Tatyana, Kyle (Leanne), Nick (Jordan) and Alanah (Blaine) and great-grandchildren, Dean, Charlie, Harper and Brenley. He is also survived by his sons, Rob and Blair (Aneesa); grandchildren, Brandon and Sabrina; sister-in-law Carol and his nephews and nieces.
Roy worked at MTS for 35 years and had many stories to tell. In 1974, Roy met the love of his life Patricia. They fell in love and with that, Roy inherited a ready made family, complete with the family dog, Spike Sr.
Being a kind and dependable family man was of the utmost importance to Roy and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving his family. Roy served his community by being the president of the Seven Oaks Garden Housing Cooperative for over 30 years.
His retirement years were spent at Kildonan Golf course as a course marshal. He was also an avid golfer and was excited to enjoy his daily golf game or two with his friend, John Baron.
He will be lovingly remembered by his Co-op community, including his friends, John and Kathy, Brenda, David and Margaret and many others.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Seven Oaks Garden Housing cooperative, at The Haley's Park. Please bring a lawn chair and a story to share.

Roy was a great guy. Always smiling. I will miss him like I do your mom. It was a honor to be friends with them. I am so sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Linda Derken (Friend) on: Sep 10, 2021

Very sorry to hear about Roy's passing. We worked together for many years at M.T.S. For the last few years before I retired we worked in the same office sharing Fleet Administrator Duties. Many, many good memories, one of which was to remind him to stop using the "F" word. Ha, ha. My sincere to the family. - Posted by: Gerry Stoddart (Friend ) on: Aug 14, 2021

To a good friend whom I had the honor to share a golf cart with every Thursday morning at Windsor Park golf club for the past 3 years, I will miss you. I will miss the camaraderie before the round, the good natured ribbing during the round, and the beers we shared after the round. Finally I will honor your number one rule on the golf course. If the shot was bad or you simply didn't like it then it obviously will not count. I am sure you will be playing much nicer courses now and routinely shooting under par. - Posted by: Alan Chekay (Friend) on: Aug 14, 2021
