ALBERT (TONY) TURMAN
February 27, 1944 - August 12, 2021

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Tony Turman on August 12, 2021 at the age of 77 years.
Tony was predeceased by his wife Shirley in May 2011. Left to mourn his memory and celebrate his life is his son Brent; daughter-in-law Wendy; granddaughters, Alyssa and Avery; daughter Kim; son-in-law Richard; grandsons, Ryan and Kyle and furry grandpal Murphy. Tony's memory will also be cherished by many special family members, neighbours and friends whom he cared for and thought so highly of.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses from the 4th floor Grace Hospital for your gentle care towards Dad and compassion through this difficult time.
With respect to Tony's wishes and the current pandemic, there will be no formal memorial service held.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba be made in Tony's memory.

"We love you and will
miss you tremendously Dad/ Geido!
Give Mom/ Baba a hug from all of us!"

  • Our sincere condolences on the sad passing of your Dad & Grampa. Tony was my Mom & Dad’s neighbour (Marv & Joan Huff) at Spruce Sands. We all got to know Tony over our many years at the cottage & the few times he did work for us. He was such a jovial, pleasant & upbeat person who made you feel instantly happy! • Our sincere condolences to the Truman Family. It was always a pleasure when the phone would ring and upon answering to hear that friendly Tony greeting…Well hello; how you doing? The rest of the conversation would last catching up on all the new and exciting things that would have happened since the last phone call. Even though the phone won’t ring; Tony’s memory will be forever in our hearts. - Posted by: Gary & Lynn Shabaga (Friend) on: Aug 25, 2021

  • Brent and Kim, I am so sorry for your loss. I can't believe I am reading this. Your Dad was so friendly and made sure to call my Dad often to check on him. If my Dad didn't answer, your Dad would call me right away to see if all was okay. Your Dad and I would always end up in a nice long conversation. My Dad and I will so miss his calls and friendship. Both your Dad and Lorraine Scarr passed the same day. That's three wonderful people from the old neighbourhood this year. - Posted by: Gary Komadowski (Neighbour) on: Aug 21, 2021

  • Our heartfelt condolences to the Turman family. He was absolutely the best neighbor anyone could ever ask for. Our kids growing up just adored and loved him. If he was outside they wanted to go and play with Mr Turman. And he always had time for them. Tony, many years have gone by since our years on Strongberg Drive, but you always remain close in our hearts. We hope you have reunited with Shirley in heaven. You will be missed by everyone who ever knew you. Rest in peace my friend Brian and Doris Fill. - Posted by: Brian and Doris Fill (Neighbor) on: Aug 21, 2021
