CLAUDIA LYNNE MARIE THOMPSON

It is with deep sadness that I announce the peaceful passing of Claudia, after a long battle with cancer on August 22, 2021 at the Grace Hospital.
Claudia is survived by her partner Ericka of 19 years; children, Latara, Raymond and Angelika; sisters, Cindy, Alisha, Pamela and Tracy; brothers, Stacey and Darcy and her beloved dog Bisquit.
Claudia touched everyone she met with her kindness and generosity and has left many deeply saddened friends to mourn her passing.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will occur at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Nine Circles Community Health Centre at 705 Broadway, Winnipeg MB, R3G 0X2.

Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • Claudia taught me a lot of things; empathy, acceptance, and that there is a whole other world that most of us don't live in, but even if we don't live our lives in that world, we should respect it. And that is a classy lady. I worked in the same building as Claudia about 14 years ago. I started there in a bit of shock and wariness. I left with more kindness and compassion because of Claudia. My deepest condolences to her family. I hope that you know that her kindness, caring and beautiful soul lives on in everyone who has had the pleasure of knowing her. - Posted by: Peggy Herbachuk (Friend) on: Sep 03, 2021

  • Claudia was an amazing person when I first met her it one of my darkest times and she made me laugh almost instantly. I’m not sure how it started but I’m sure it was her we started calling each other wife and hubby. I’d walk into nine Circles and I’d hear such a cheerful “hi hubby”. I will miss your wife, always in my heart. Rest easy. - Posted by: Ken Bristow (Friend) on: Aug 29, 2021
