BRUCE SWITZER

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Bruce, who passed away suddenly on September 24, 2021, at the Grace Hospital. Bruce will be greatly missed by his wife Janet Switzer and all who knew him.
Bruce will be remembered as a dedicated husband to his wife Janet, whom he shared his life with for over 30 years. After a lengthy courtship, Bruce and Janet were married on May 17, 1991.
Bruce was a hard-working committed employee of Winnipeg Housing Rehabilitation Corporation as a Building and Property Manintenance personnel. He often made friends with those who he encountered during his working hours. Bruce was a talented artist and entrepreneur and was a man of great generosity. He will be greatly missed.

IT IS NOT A MATTER OF THE YEARS A MAN HAS BEEN AROUND OR THE TRAIL IN LIFE HE CHOSE TO TAKE...BUT IT IS THE THINGS HE DOES FOR EVERYONE THAT MAKES A MAN SO GREAT

  • I send my Love, and condolences to Bruce's widow, for the passing of her dear husband Bruce. Always know, I think of you often. Love, peace and strength, to you. - Posted by: Colleen B. (Co-worker/friend) on: Oct 08, 2021

  • I am so sorry for your loss, Janet. Bruce always had time for a brief chat and to share some humour to brighten the day. He was gifted in many areas and worked hard at keeping the building running smoothly and the tenants happy. He was kind and generous with his time including, with Janet at his side, dressing up as Santa for the years of kids Christmas parties held by Project Glow. Bruce will be missed but the memories will be sweet. - Posted by: Gerry Parr (Co-worker) on: Oct 05, 2021

  • Bruce was a wonderful member of the WHRC team and will be greatly missed. He always had a quick smile and a generous nature. I'll miss hearing him call me "kid" every morning on my way into the office. - Posted by: Jennifer Maidens (Co-worker) on: Oct 04, 2021
