BEVERLY MACDONALD
She leaves behind so many people who loved her deeply, including partner Ken Peacey and the entire Peacey Clan - April and Trevor (King), Bob and Tammy (Peacey), Kathleen and Clayton (Auch); adored grandson Anthony; son Jeremiah; sisters, Brenda (Bettens) and Bonnie (Ketter); aunt Susan (Strega); nephews, Kyle, Craig, Stephen, Dalton, Zach, Tyson, Wade and Gavin; nieces, Whitney, Christina and Taylor; her Mi'kmaq family in Nova Scotia; her dear friends "the babes", including BFF Josie and husband Bryon; and family and friends too numerous to mention. We expect that Bev will soon be sharing some laughs with her mother Kathleen Domin, who went on before her in 2009.
Bev was a great storyteller with a wicked sense of humour who accepted everyone she met for who they were. She cared passionately about social justice, particularly Indigenous rights, and embraced her Mi'kmaq heritage. One of the great pleasures of her life was the many road trip adventures she and Ken took together, which invariably included visits to Indigenous historical sites and casinos. Like her Mom, Bev loved celebrating the holidays (all of them) with family. Our hearts are broken that she has left us so early.
No service by request. Celebration of Life for family and friends will be announced.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to one of the many causes that were dear to Bev's heart: Harvest Manitoba (https://www.harvestmanitoba.ca/); Resource Assistance for Youth (https://rayinc.ca/); Mi'kmaw Native Friendship Centre (https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/micmac-native-friendship-society/); MMIWG Sisters in Spirit (https://www.kairoscanada .org/missing-murdered-indigenous-women-girls/commemoration). And remember to wear your orange shirt!

It's been a little over a year since we saw Ken and Bev, such a short visit, but a lot of fun and laughs. We'll remember it a long time. Bev, hoping your pain and suffering is now gone and you are displaying that beautiful smile. Take care Ken, hold your head up high. - Posted by: Larry and Pauline Peacey (Uncle and Aunt, unoffcially. ) on: Oct 02, 2021

I would like to offer my deepest condolences to the family. I never knew Bev but I know her sister Brenda. Brenda & family I can’t imagine the loss you must be feeling when there is a sudden passing in the family. Know that you have friends who are thinking of you in your time of sorrow. It sounds like you have lots of wonderful memories of your time together, you can cherish those moments. ❤️ - Posted by: Bridget Verrier (Friend of Bev’s sister ) on: Oct 02, 2021

Enjoyed the many outings we had with Bev and the Babes. Bev always had stories to tell and a great sense of humor. She always talked about the fun she had on road trips with you Kevin. She also said how she loved her son, Jeremiah and raved about her grandson, Anthony. My condolences to you and your family Ken. May your good memories and support of family and friends help you through this difficult time. Lilianne - Posted by: Lilianne Foster (One of the Babes) on: Oct 02, 2021
