MANUEL FERREIRA
June 3, 1930 - November 7, 2021

Early Sunday morning, surrounded by his daughter and granddaughters, Manuel Ferreira passed away peacefully at the age of 91 at Victoria General Hospital.
He was predeceased by his wife Luzia in 1977; parents, Albertina and Antonio; three brothers, two sisters, son Manuel Ferreira, son-in-law Jose Sobreiro and great-granddaughter Madeline Sobreiro. He is survived by his daughter Maria Helia Sobreiro; grandchildren, Maribel Ferreira, Cristina Sobreiro, Nancy Sobreiro and Gabriel; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Leandro and Raquel.
Manuel was born in Braga, Portugal June 3, 1930. In 1982 he immigrated to Canada with his daughter and to join his son who was already here. Manuel was always very active never showing his age. Up until recently he would still walk the one kilometer to Sisler High School and back. He loved collecting pens and watches, grabbing coffee with the grandkids, gardening, soccer games, spending time in Portugal and telling us all his stories. Those stories never changed, always told the exact same way we heard them the first time.
His family would like to thank all of the people involved with making him comfortable and allowing us to be with him in his final days while at Health Sciences Centre and Victoria General Hospital. To all of our friends and family thank you for the support you've shown us these last days.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
