REGINALD DOUGLAS MARTIN

Reg was born in Pine Falls, Manitoba, September 1, 1964 to Charles and Yolande Martin and passed away November 13, 2021.
Left to cherish his memory are his sister Charlaine (Cameron); their children, Kyle (Liz), Colin (Lindsay), Scott (Rachel and son Henry); his brother Norman (Audrey); their children, Jenny (Nolan and daughters, Cali and Harper); and Chris.
Reg spent many happy years in Vancouver in the entertainment business in both music and stand-up comedy.
He returned to Winnipeg to care for our parents and worked in communications.
Reg was an incredibly kind, accepting and forgiving soul, traits he carried with him while dealing with the cruelties of brain cancer.

Goodbye dear brother, uncle and great-uncle. We love you.

We sincerely thank the care given by the Palliative Care team at St. Boniface Hospital.

Condolences for the family may be left at www.alternacremation.ca.

Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • Reggie was my closet friend during our years at Yuk Yuk's. We would rent standup videos and study them together. I moved back to Ontario but returned 3 years later and Reggie greeted me at the Airport and off we went again this time in a band. Reg was so intelligent and introspective we would make each other laugh till tears flowed. Life was so full of possibility and Reggie with his quiet determination was always a bright light on stage. I could trust him with my life. A truer friend is hard to find. I was looking for Reg today because I needed his magical bass playing with this new band. An amazing artist, creative, passionate and willing to try the impossible. The world is a lesser place. I love you buddy - Posted by: John Smith (Comedy and Music collaborator ) on: Sep 07, 2023

  • My deepest sympathies to the Martin family. Reg was such a kind and gentle person, always true to himself. I am so sorry I never had the opportunity to reconnect with Reg since his move back to Winnipeg. Gone far too soon. - Posted by: Michelle Lamoureux Bruneau (Classmate and friend) on: Nov 22, 2021

  • Our sincere condolences to Charlaine and family; Norman and family; in the loss of your dear brother/uncle Reginald. Reginald was a kind soul. We have good memories spent with Reg, Charlaine and Uncle Charles. Claude still remembers the curling game Reg, Uncle Charles and him attended at the Wpg. arena.
