EDITH MINERVA CHURCH SPENCE
July 10, 1928 - November 26, 2021
Edith was born in Niverville, MB, and grew up and went to school there. She was the middle child with siblings, Lawrence, Audrey, Norma, and Brian. In 1947 she married John Spence, and they lived on McKenzie Island, Ontario for a number of years. Together they raised three children, Clifford, Diane and Kenneth. They moved to Winnipeg in 1958, and she worked in banking with CIBC and HFC. Edith lived in Nanaimo, BC for a number of years, until moving back to Winnipeg in 2001. For the last 14 years, she lived at Bethania Personal Care home.
Edith was predeceased by her parents and siblings, and husband John, in 1994.
Left to mourn her passing are her children, Clifford, Diane, and Ken (Mary); grandchildren, Kimberly, Chet, Lexi and Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Many thanks to the staff of Bethania Personal Care Home for their excellent care of Edith.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 4 at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue at Henderson Highway. As per the family's wishes, Covid protocols will be in effect.

So very sad to hear of Edith’s passing. I have such fond memories of our family visits in Winnipeg. Edith was such a wonderful and kind lady. Many years since we had a visit.
