BRIAN ANDREW SULYMKA
June 1, 1966 – December 9, 2021

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend.
Brian was predeceased by parents, Lloyd and Irene; and is survived by brothers, Carl (Cece), Dale (Velvet), Doug (Bonnie), and numerous nieces and nephews.
After his working career he channelled his energies into caring for our mother and the family home. Throughout his life, his faith developed as a great example of God's love for all.
Being very artistic, he had many hobbies. Curling was a passion he followed his entire life.
Special thanks to all the nurses and doctors from St. Boniface and Misericordia Hospitals, and the Grace Hospice for their love and compassion in caring for Brian in the last months of his life.
Prayers and Funeral Liturgy both were held at Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church, Grant and Harrow. Prayers were held on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. and Funeral Liturgy on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Interment followed at Thomson In the Park Cemetery.
Following interment, a family and friends reflection took place at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.

  • Sulymka family, We are deeply saddened to hear of Brian’s passing and offer our deepest sympathy. Brian was the most genuine, kind and caring person I know. The memories I have through the years at Midwest, Waterous and Wajax will never be forgotten. Gone way too soon and will be missed. Rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: Lisa Colburn (Friend/colleague) on: Dec 21, 2021

  • I will miss dearly our friendly banter during our Sunday games at Pembina Curling Club. I learned so much from you and I'm still learning to this day. And the good times we had when we entered in Manitoba's 125th MCA. I'm so sorry that you didn't get a chance to raise the Northern Curling Club trophy when we finally have our names engraved as the A side Champion in 2019-2020 season. I will dedicate the rest of the games this season in your honour. Rest in peace, Brian. Gerry - Posted by: Gerry Lagadi (Brian's Curling Buddy) on: Dec 14, 2021
