I worked with Judi at Bonnycastle, we both subbed there together. I always knew she was there without seeing her - there was always a chocolate cake in the staff room!! She was truly one of the kindest people I ever knew. It was an honour to be able to work and know her. I am so sorry for the loss of such a beautiful woman. - Posted by: Alana (Co-worker) on: Jan 28, 2022

Many memories shared with this wonderful lady during our years teaching together and I am so terribly saddened by Judi’s passing. Beloved teacher to both my children, Judi kept them both in her heart for years to come. Judi had a gift for making people feel special and loved and went out of her way to do those little things that mean so very much. She leaves a legacy of treasured memories for the many many lives she impacted. My sincere sympathies to Jack and to Valerie, Mathew and their families. - Posted by: Kathy Curtis (Colleague and Friend) on: Jan 20, 2022

Judi was one of my teaching colleagues at King George V School. Like some others have stated above, she made you feel you were the most important and wonderful person in the world when she spoke with you. When she walked into the staff room every morning, it was like sunshine had entered the space. What a great loss to everyone who knew her. - Posted by: Robert Ramsay (Teaching colleague) on: Jan 20, 2022

Judi taught "my Maddy" in grade 3 and was Maddy's favourite teacher. After teaching her, Judi became a close family friend. We spent many weekends at her's and Jack's house swimming and having supper. They had many suppers at our house. Our kids slept over at her house. She was one of our closest friends. We will miss her huge smile and the way she made everyone believe she loved them the most. She truly was one of a kind and we will miss her every day but will remember, fondly, all the wonderful times we spent together. We will forever cherish our wonderful memories of her. - Posted by: Allan and Martha Bradbury (Friends) on: Jan 16, 2022

Ms. Broeska was one the most amazing people I have ever met. She taught me in grade 4, and changed my life. She was my inspiration to becoming a teacher, and I learned so much from her on how to be a passionate and empathetic person. She was an amazing teacher - she held you accountable for your actions, and really pushed you to become a better person. It all felt like it came from a place of love, which made her so amazing at her job. We lived down the street from Ms. Broeska (after she stopped teaching me she told me to call her Judi, but I never could), and she became a great friend to our family. She would make us a chocolate money cake whenever it was our birthday, something my sister and I will never forget. She had a way of making you feel at home whenever you were around her. My deepest condolences to the family. Her memory will live on with the many lives she touched. - Posted by: Madison Meakin (Friend) on: Jan 13, 2022

I was lucky enough to have Mrs. Broeska teach all 3 of my children. They loved her as a teacher and have fond memories of her as adults. I remember when she got her convertible and took them for a drive for ice cream. She was a great teacher and a wonderful person who had a positive influence on so many children. - Posted by: Randy Bonkoski (friend) on: Jan 10, 2022
