JAMES CAMERON HENDERSON

My husband and best friend left this world suddenly, and too soon; he is now in the arms of his Higher Power. There were so many who shared Jim's incredible journey in life. He left a legacy of friendship and love and he was the love of my life and I was his.
Jim worked hard all his life. For most of his career he worked in the oil field industry in Alberta. After he retired, he liked to work a few days a week in the winter driving semi and, in the summer, he joined me in our travel trailer. We travelled to both coasts on his Harley, camping along the way. He loved our times alone on the road. He also enjoyed many road trips with his friends both in Manitoba and Alberta.
Jim started having health issues and was admitted to hospital when covid managed to announce its presence, making his fight with his illnesses very difficult.
He loved his family, he was a caring husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was very proud of his daughters.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Gerry; daughters La Rissa (Bryant) and Anna (Chad); bonus daughters Larabee (Spencer) and Riva; grandchildren Bronsyn, Olivia, Ethan, and Abigail; his sister Melodie (Robert); nephew Jeffrey (Gillian and family); niece Jill-Anne; mother-in-law Ella; as well as his many relatives and oh so many friends from British Columbia through to Newfoundland. He was predeceased by his parents Malcolm (Moby) and Norma.
Rest my love. We will remember the beauty, love, and friendship he gave the world.
I will host a celebration of his life when allowed.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference.

My late husband Peter, who was a very close friend of Jim’s, shared a unique bound together. They understood each other and I was fortunate enough to have known Jim, as well. Both Jim and Pete are definitely riding their Harleys’ together and enjoying each other’s company, once again.
