Celebrating His Wonderful Life

Coming together to share some of our favourite memories, stories laughter and tears to remember Garry, such a wonderful person who will be greatly missed.
Many many people knew Garry and how generous he was. Especially those immediate, who he left behind, partner Margaret Morgan; son Cory Wachal; daughter Lana Wachal; stepson Peter (Lisa) Graham; his four grandkids, Dante, Neveah, Tianna and Gordon; as well as his partner's children, Tammy (Stefane) and Tim (along with their children, Brittany, Danton, Taylor and Tanner); plus many more family and friends who will always have great memories of him.
Garry was a man of many talents and many experiences in life. Army service, an ambulance medic, autobody specialist, loved making his homemade wine, fishing was his passion, and animals, of course, he loved his doggies, and most of all his family.

You are already greatly missed Garry

Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • What can I say about Garry, well, he put every one of my older daughters in their very first cars. He actually had to get ready 4 cars for one of my daughters. We always trusted him and he was such an amazing man. The news of his passing saddened me greatly! To Margaret and all his children and grandchildren that he talked so lovingly about, my thoughts and prayers are with you all! Garry my family will miss you dearly. RIP my dear friend! - Posted by: Charlene (Friend) on: Feb 05, 2022

  • Margaret, My thoughts and prayers are with you. There are no answers to comfort your grief only your lasting love and precious memories. Thinking of you during this sad time. Trudy - Posted by: Trudy Waters (Friend) on: Feb 03, 2022

  • We met Garry in the hospital late last year and hit it off immediately. His easy going carefree attitude and genuine concern for others going through tough times were apparent. When he felt my husband needed help , he immediately called & suggested I get into the hospital. We are so thankful he did that, he always provided a laugh and conversation when needed. We will miss you my friend, RIP . - Posted by: Ed & Fran (Friends) on: Feb 02, 2022

  • Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. Our family has so many memories of Garry, Garry-Bear, Candyman (or The name we changed the boat too). Garry was one of a kind. We will miss our lake visits, over coffee, an afternoon drink, delicious food and a late into the night campfire! Oscar will miss his special treats from the Chef! We will miss the late nights of playing whist and cornhole. Kendra said she had one of the best partners. We can continue to type the stories and memories of this special guy. Our hearts are heavy knowing we missed out on a lot the last 2 summers. We are thankful for the years of friendship we did share with Garry! - Posted by: Linda and Steve (Friends) on: Feb 01, 2022

  • Margaret, Lana, Cory and Families, my sincere condolences on the loss of Garry. I grew up with Garry in Narol. Living three houses away from the Wachals, some of my memories were playing with him and his sister while our mothers visited, and playing baseball, rugby, cani-can (our version of cricket) and hockey in his, the Ludwicks' and our yards. Garry remained friends with my brother. He was a kind person and was very generous to my brother and his family. He will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Gloria Mactavish (Kozachok) (Friend) on: Jan 31, 2022
