RONALD (RON) HENDRICK
December 1, 1947 – January 20, 2022

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Ronald (Ron) Hendrick on January 20, 2022 after a brief stay in the hospital with family by his side.
Ron is survived by his loving wife Dawn; his cherished son Adam (Sarah); brother Robert (Bob); sister-in-law Holly; and many extended family members, neighbours and friends. Ron was predeceased by his parents Michael and Minnie Hendrick and mother and father-in-law Helen and William Miller.
Ron spent his entire working career with the Province of Manitoba Forestry Department and the City of Winnipeg Public Works Department. He was happiest and most at peace at the family cottage on the waters of Lac Du Bonnet where every possible moment was spent tinkering on a project in his garage or relaxing with family.
In keeping with Ron's wishes cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
Donations would be appreciated to any pet rescue society in Ron's memory as he deeply loved all animals.

Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • Sitting here thinking of old friends and my wife actually says the name Ron Hendricks while watching a TV show...so I googled and so sad to see his obituary...but I will say probably one of my fav bosses ...taught me how to work with people and fixing many chainsaws. Allowing me to operate machines of many types and we had a pretty solid crew. I became a union Stewart during my term and I remember Ron and I going to a meeting and the president was shocked seeing us together and laughing...he couldn't believe how Ron and I clicked In many ways..I thought of Ron over the many years but we never crossed paths again...my condolences to you all. • So sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. Ron was always one of our favourite neighbours, in his own quiet way you knew you could count on him if needed. Thinking of you Dawn & Adam at this sad time. - Posted by: Barry & Donna Farebrother (Previous lake neighbors ) on: Jan 30, 2022

  • Dear Dawn, Adam, Sarah, Robert and Holly: I was very saddened to learn of Ron's passing. My younger brother Glenn and I were childhood friends of "Ronnie" and 'Robbie" and we all grew up together next door to one another on McPhillips Street. I remember with much fondness all the mischief we got into, and the many pranks we played. Please accept my sincere condolences. - Posted by: Joanne Martin (Childhood friend) on: Jan 29, 2022

  • Dawn and Adam. I am holding you both close to my heart. Ron was a fighter and an incredibly strong man. Please know Dawn and Adam that I am ALWAYS only a phone call away. Love you Sue, Chris and Hunter - Posted by: Susan J Rebizant (close friend) on: Jan 29, 2022
