Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Dear Fisher Family Children of Betty & In Laws, Grandchildren and Great Grand Children & Extended Family, Friends & her Neighbors. I just found out about Betty’s passing and I’m so sad today to hear this news, as this Mother was the closest thing to Mother Theresa that you will ever find in this lifetime. She was a gift indeed to all her beautiful 10 children whom she raised as a single mom for most of her life. She opened her doors and her big heart to all, in her tiny little Manitoba home, it was tiny, and the kids were always cleaning it, but the house full of great love. Betty they called her, but I always called her Mrs. Fisher. So many cups of coffee and tea came out of that house, along with so many happy conversations at that old kitchen table, the same kitchen table that most of us had in the North End. We would all sit in that tiny kitchen, and had so many laughs. She loved all her kids friends, like myself and you could feel the love she had for you, that’s such a gift, to really feel her hug, you felt she loved you and you were wanted and you belonged in her family. She always had lovely skin and she looked after it with oil of Olay. The love she had for her family was enourmous, all the children kissed her hello and goodbye. She was the real example of a mother, she loved them all the same and had love for all her daughter and her son in laws. This family taught me about real love and what it really looks like on the inside. Even with ten kids, of course there was drama, but they all got through it, with just more love and support and sometimes just by laughing at it all. I was privileged to know a great happy go lucky family as the Fisher Family. Betty lived a long life as those ten kids and their partners later in life always made sure she was looked after. Kudos to all those great children of hers who did their very best for her always! This family must be at a total loss without their sunshine girl!!! She truly was a ray of sunshine abs the rock of her family! They were also lucky kids to have her. Rest In Peace Mrs. Fisher you did a great job on this planet Earth as a citizen and a great Mother! The world is a little more smaller now, as to me, you were So very special! Xoxo - Posted by: Bonnie Joy Panas Turenne (Friend of family) on: Mar 08, 2022
