ALEXANDER (BILL) WILLIAM DEWALD
July 5, 1949 - February 4, 2022

With extreme sadness, we announce the passing of our father, Bill Dewald on February 4, 2022.
Bill is survived by his sons, Steven (Michelle), Alex (Jessica); daughter Heidi (Scott); grandchildren, Christopher, Katie, Salem, Liam and John. He was predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Verna and his wife Kim.
Bill could be described as hardworking, dedicated, kind and humorous. These attributes were seen by his family and customers of Bill Dewald Repair, in which he owned for 25 plus years. Above all, Bill was a great father. He spent countless hours with his children. Whether it was taking the dogs for a walk, watching tv while often resting his eyes, going out for weekly father/daughter dinner dates, or bringing us to service calls, where we would get fed at restaurants and watch our dad pluck birds out of air conditioners. Bill was an actions, not words type of guy. He got things done. He would help in any way he could; strong, but quiet and cracking a joke when least expected. He was genuinely interested about everything his children were doing and had accomplished. Bill liked physical fitness which included record running speeds. He had his own weight room, in which he encouraged us all to be active, keeping records of our progress from an early age. He equally liked desserts; most notably pies and shortbread and was often found picking out something daily at the store to have as an evening snack.
Dad, you can now rest your eyes, free of pain. We would like to thank the excellent staff at Deer Lodge for their support over the past few years.
In following with Bill's wishes, no formal service will be held. A private interment will follow at a later date.

We always enjoyed his enthusiasm, good nature and strong work ethic and he became a friend to many in our building.
