MICKIE RYDER
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mickie Ryder on February 5, 2022. She went peacefully surrounded by her family.
Mickie was born on October 10, 1939 in Edmonton, Alberta. She met her husband, Jack Ryder, while the two worked together at a local department store. They were married for 57 years and had four children. They moved from Edmonton to Calgary in 1965 - before settling in Winnipeg in 1975. While taking care of her family, Mickie worked several jobs over the years. Her last in property management.
Mickie loved computer games, knitting and tending to her garden on summers days. She found the most joy in being with her family and friends. She was a spunky and selfless woman; who spent most of her time taking care of those around her, never asking for anything in return. She will be deeply missed by many.
She was predeceased by her husband Jack and son Miles. Her memory will be kept alive by her children, Erroll, Dawn (Bruce Marks), Sheldon (Jocelyn Casper); her grandchildren, Mia and Matthew; and her sister Patti Marshall. Mickie is now reunited with her husband Jack and son Miles.
Her family will celebrate Mickie's life in private at a later date.
