EDWARD LEDWOS
July 24, 1931 - February 8, 2022
In great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Edward Ledwos, who passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, in Tuxedo Villa, at the age of 90 years.
"Ed" was a well-respected member of The Baha'i Community of Winnipeg for many decades, and his faith was seen in all aspects of his life through peace, honesty, intelligent humour and with a kind, patient demeanor.
Ed was a highly respected Masseuse, affectionately known by many as "the man with the magic hands" for many decades.
Ed spoke fondly of his work with the YMCA and North Star Inn, and then later with the YMHA downtown building in Winnipeg, before retiring from the Rady Centre in the mid 1990s.
"Eddie" is survived by his wife Margaret; son Gordon Ledwos (wife Joan); and sisters, Lillian McKeen (Patrick), Valdean McDonald; and many nephews, nieces and grandchildren.
Eddie's presence is greatly missed at Winnipeg Harvest, where he and Margaret volunteered weekly.
A service honouring Edward will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at 3:00 p.m., at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd.

I volunteered with Ed and Margaret for many years at St. Mary's Road United Church. Loved his humor, intelligence and stories of his life. He loved his wife Margaret and always helped her with her challenges. I always enjoyed talking with Ed and think of him kindly. I remember all his books, exercise equipment on the floor and his love of listening to other people. He is in god's hands now and will Rest in Peace, watching over his loved ones.
