Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • I am very sorry to hear about Jim’s passing. Life is too short for us. I always remember the talk of the gold eyes and other baseball games and trips. I suspect both Jim and Dwayne ( another deceased coworker ) are discussing one of the ball games in heaven. Rest In Peace until you meet again. • My irreplaceable, funny, giving and always reliable brother, James (Jimmy) Fairfoul Herriot. He was our only brother and twin to our sister, Nicola, who also left us far too soon. The childhood memories - the fun, the mischief of our lives spent together growing up on Air Force bases overseas, as well as in Canada, play over and over in my mind now. Jimmy was our protector and defender - always. His wonderful photography brought him so much pleasure, as well as traveling here in Canada and cruising abroad. I will forever miss Jimmy - my brother and truest friend. Love always, Chris. (sister) - Posted by: Chris Daly (Sister) on: Feb 27, 2022

  • Dear Aunt Joan - We are so saddened to learn of Uncle Jim’s sudden passing. I have many great memories of going to visit you in Winnipeg, as your door was always open to us, and Uncle Jim taking me to card stores and the airplane museum. Uncle Jim was always smiling, always happy, and that’s the way I will remember him. - Posted by: Curtis and Shannon Denbow and family, and Ken Denbow (Family) on: Feb 26, 2022

  • I can't express what a big hole has been left now that you have passed. Please know that you are very much loved and we will miss you every day. I wished we had more time but we don't know what plans are made for us and so we make the days count as they go by so very fast. I know that Nick and Mom and Dad are happy to see you and you will be watching over Joan and the family from there. We will see you soon. Love from all of us. - Posted by: Sybil and Slim Boyd (Sister and brother- in law) on: Feb 26, 2022

  • Dear Joan, I was so sad to hear about Jimmy. He was just the nicest, kindest person that I have ever met. Whenever I would meet him in the hall, he would always like to chit-chat. Whenever you would mention the Blue Jays his eyes would light up. Ron was so thrilled with the baseball books he would give Him. He sure will be missed. If you need help Joan, just call me.
