ALMA SCHINDEL


Alma Schindel went to be home with the Lord on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, at the age of 89 years.
She was born on September 27, 1932 in Minitonas, Manitoba. There, she met and married Henry Adolf Schindel on July 7, 1956.
In 1957, they moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, where they raised three children. Alma enjoyed working at a variety of jobs and loved miniature golf, gardening and doing paper tole crafting. She also loved playing the card game Rook with her family and was severely competitive! Her faith was very important to her. She enjoyed attending Grace Community Church where she had many strong and lasting friendships.
She was predeceased by her parents, Edward Kublick and Helen Kublick (Bohl).
She was survived by her husband Henry Schindel and her three children, Dale and David from Winnipeg, Manitoba; her daughter Caroline Cox and granddaughter Parker Cox from Kentucky, United States; sisters and brothers, Elsie Wuerch, Sam Kublick (Mina), William Kublick (Lorrene), Rose Hill (William) and Ernest Kublick (Susan).
The family has comfort and joy in knowing Alma is in her beautiful heavenly home with Jesus. John 11:25 "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live."
Private family visitation and burial will take place in Chapel Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery.

  • My beautiful grandma I will always remember the times we shared as little girl those were the best childhood memories. I remember driving with you and grandpa on camping trip and seeing a beautiful rainbow for first time I try to open the car door I was so excited about it now everytime I see a beautiful rainbow I think of you grandma. I remember playing out in back yard helping you with your beautiful garden playing bored games. You were amazing woman with kind heart and soul.
