"Saturday's Child works hard for a living"

After a five year battle with neuroendocrine cancer, Jocelyne passed away at home, physically and virtually, surrounded by her family.
She leaves behind her husband of 55 years, The Love of Her Life, Adam "Eddy" Jaremowich; her son David and wife Lori, their sons, Christopher and Matthew, of Bothell WA; her daughter Kim and husband Dave Zeglinski, their sons, Aidan and Jude of Winnipeg MB; her son Alan of Vancouver BC; her siblings, Yvette Pelletier, Raymond (Thérèse), Gilles, Jacques (Susan); her in-laws, Marcel Brisebois, Linda Paterson, Ron and Lee Jaremowich; as well as many nieces, nephews and numerous relatives and friends.
Special thanks to her dear husband Eddy, her daughter Kim and her honorary daughter Raquel, who took great care of her, and were always there to meet her needs so that she could remain at home throughout.
Thanks also to Dr. C. Jaeger, Dr. R. Wong, Dr. A. Nashed and the team at the In-Home Palliative Care Program.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CNETs Canada, Palliative Manitoba, WSD Children's Heritage Fund, Harvest Manitoba, or MCC.
Arrangements are in the care of Cropo Funeral Chapel. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Jocelyne's life will be held at a later date. In future, you may visit with her at the Historic Elmwood Cemetery, where she will be moving into her new 6th floor "condo" with a river view.

Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • My parents (Henry & Shirley Nero) always recalled fond memories of spending time with Joyce and Ed years ago before they moved to Calgary. Whenever they came to Winnipeg to visit, you could be sure that they would always make the time to see them for a visit or a quick lunch. - Posted by: Dean Nero (Family Friend) on: Mar 16, 2022

  • Dear Eddy, Kim and Family. My deepest sympathy on the the loss of your beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother. Jocelyne was the kindest, most caring friend one could ever have. For over 35 years, even though she had a family to care for, she somehow found the time to help me in my hours of need. I would need to write a book to list all the things she has done for me. Rest In Peace my Friend. Love and Gratitude, Bernice Rzasa - Posted by: Bernice Rzasa (Close friend ) on: Mar 04, 2022

  • Dear all of you ! At the evening of her life, she crossed over to the other side, and God, family and friends were waiting for her with open arms. With her smile and her big heart, she was like a sunshine . I can hear her saying : It took me a life time to prepare to die, now I have a death to live ! I will keep you in my prayers and my deepest sympathies are with you ! May God help you in this difficult times. Sincerely Onil - Posted by: Onil Le Blanc (cousin ) on: Feb 27, 2022

  • Jocelyn was one of my dearest clients for over 20 years. She was a strong woman with a kind, caring heart. She was always happy, telling good joke to lift my day when she came to the salon. • Jocelyne was my dear friend for 60 years. Our friendship started in grade nine, walking to high school, going to dances and then she got married and I was her bridesmaid. Throughout all the years that followed we did not lose touch, maybe didn't see each other that much, but we were always in ieach other's minds. She did not miss a birthday or Christmas card or bringing over a plant or cake when I was ill or my granddaughters were born. She was such a caring person to her family and friends right down to the lovely blankets she made which my little granddaughter uses everyday. I will cherish memories of her and keep her in my heart forever. Rest well my dear friend after your hard journey, love, Audrey - Posted by: Audrey Gibson (Old friend) on: Feb 26, 2022

  • I had the pleasure of babysitting Joyce's 3 children when I was a teenager in their little home on Cathedral Ave. Joyce was so nice to me and had a wonderful family. Of course I lost touch as I grew older but I'll never forget looking after your little ones. I pass by the house often to visit my mom (also still on Cathedral) and memories always flood back. My sympathies to the loss of your wife, mom and grandma. Take care. - Posted by: Andrea Kapkey (nee Mulder) (Babysitter in the 1970s ) on: Feb 26, 2022
