It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Bernice Banman on February 23, 2022 in the Health Sciences Centre, with family by her side.
Born in Winnipeg, she was a daughter of the late Ignace and Natalia (nee Bilowecki) Manko.
Bernice was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Jack and sister-in-law Sandra Manko.
She is survived by her daughter Myra Wynne; grandchildren, Victoria (Gabe), Zachary; brother Myron; nephews, Steve (Ann), Chris (Candice).
Bernice was grateful for the Bethel Mennonite Church fellowship both in the sanctuary, in her prayer group, Women in Mission and the many personal friends made there.
Bernice was a very kind, supportive and caring friend, she was grateful for the long term friendships that she had, particularly with Lillian Martens, Rosemary Seekings, Helen Bainski.
She proudly worked for the Labourer's Union for 20 years.
A family graveside service will be held in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg on Thursday, March 3 at 11:00 a.m. Her Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Bethel Mennonite Church, 465 Stafford Street with Pastor Kathy McCamis officiating.
