It is with deep regret and great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our son, father, brother and friend.
Sean leaves to mourn his parents, Wayne (stepmother Edith) and Angele; sons, Connor (mother Cynthia) and Sawyer (mother Janine); siblings, Tim, Neil, Graham and Rachel; grandmother Denise Mestdagh; nephews, Ryan and Aidan; sister-in-law Annie and a plethora of close friends. He was predeceased by his brother Scott in 2016.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Oxford Heights Community Club, 359 Dowling Avenue East, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice, or to a trust fund which has been set up for Sean's sons (Connor and Sawyer).
The family kindly requests that friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by visiting his tribute page at EthicalDeathCare.com. A photo-biography, memories and stories published by those who knew him, and further details about the trust are available there.

Sean. Our buddy. Our brother from another mother. Such a pain in the butt in the most-loving way. Always making us laugh. Had the best one-liners around. The memories we share are immeasurable. We, as a group of friends and family, did so many things with Sean and his boys and we will never forget all the laughs and good times. His time here was way too short and we will never stop missing him. So much love to his family, his friends, and his boys and their moms. Til we meet again, Smitty. Tell Scott we say hi. Love, Michelle and Tom xoxo - Posted by: Michelle Zajaros (Friend) on: Mar 31, 2022

Father. Brother. Son. Cousin. We all play many roles. Teacher. Mentor. Role Model. Confidant. Our influence is far-reaching. Kind. Sincere. Humble. Gracious. Our actions portray who we are. Sean is all of these things, and so much more. A man of many pursuits and brotherly antics, I know we have all heard a story or 10. Sean’s chapter in our collective story has come to an end. But like the well-worn pages of a good book read, his presence is never far away. Farewell. - Posted by: Jason Mestdagh (Cousin) on: Mar 10, 2022

Just to jog your memory, I am Bob Bemi's sister. Sincerely, Joyce & Chic - Posted by: Joyce Seabrook (Friend of family) on: Mar 10, 2022

I didn't know Sean that well, but when he called Sawyer to talk or Sawyer called him, Sawyer would light up because Sean was his Dad. It meant so much to the both of them to be together or talk by phone, to have that contact in life with each other. For Sean to be at Sawyer Poppa's cottage at the lake or to be with his Dad on the other side of the lake Winnipeg on their summer Holidays, meant so much to all of us. You could see how much both Conner and Sawyer meant to Sean, Sean is with God now but will always be in are Hearts. The Trust Sean has given us for the care of both Conner and Sawyer will always be their for both his sons, we will all miss you so much, Ian Gray. - Posted by: Ian Gray (Janine's Gray Dad Sawyers Poppa ) on: Mar 10, 2022
