Condolences & Memories (16 entries)

  • I knew Ron while working in the RCMP headquarters in Winnipeg. As outlined by many others who have offered condolences, he was a great guy who loved his family and his career. He will be missed by many of us. On behalf of my wife and myself, we would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Jo-Ann and all his family. • Our hearts are saddened to hear of Ron's passing. Our deepest sympathies go out to you Jo-Ann and your family. We had the privilege of meeting Ron and getting to know him through visits to our Aunt Pearl Lively who at that time resided in Winnipeg. Pearl welcomed many children to her home. Ron became a special cousin to us all. He showed her much love, kindness and respect through the years. Pearl was very proud of Ron. We always welcomed news about him as the years rolled on. His marriage to you Jo-Ann, his children and his very successful career as an RCMP. Pearl spent her later years in Arborg. Ron made frequent visits to check on her. We saw his loving and caring dedication to her. He was a special man in our eyes. Our sincerest condolences to you all, may he rest in peace. He was one of a kind and will be dearly missed. Remembered by extended family special aunt Dorothy Stansell, her children Norman (Gladys) Stansell, Lawrence (Birdeen) Stansell and Valerie Zuk (nee Stansell) - Posted by: Valerie Zuk (family) on: Mar 13, 2022

  • My deepest condolences to the Lowe family. I am so sorry for your great loss. Ron will always be remembered with his warm smile and big hugs as he would come to the dental office. He was so proud of his family and his eyes would light up when he spoke about his beautiful grandchildren. My prayers and thoughts to you all during this difficult time. - Posted by: Franca Racciatti (Friend) on: Mar 13, 2022

  • Sending our deepest condolences to Joanne, Shauna, Holly, Mia & Dahla. Ron was and always will be an exemplary example of a life well lived. One was always met with a smile and a hug, true and sincere. Always welcoming those he met with open arms; stretching his arms wide to gather his family and friends in close. You were never just a friend to Ron, you were an extended family member. Fortunate were those who knew Ron; Blessed are those who knew his love! God’s Speed Ron. For the Lord has called home an Angle and may you be received in with open arms in a chorus of those who have gone before you. Missing you dearly…. Until we met again. - Posted by: Don, Lynne & Maria Shillington (Family friend) on: Mar 13, 2022

  • My sincere condolences to Ron's wife and daughters and Families. Ron and I were work colleagues at the RCMP in Winnipeg and he was without a doubt one of the kindest and well respected members that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I was so proud of Ron when he received the Royal Victorian Medal in 2002 from HM Queen Elizabeth II during her jubilee visit to Winnipeg. This was a rare honour to ever befall any member of the RCMP and goes a long way to show Ron's character and worth ethic and his lengthy service to the Royal Family. Rest in peace old friend and your family can take comfort knowing that you will never be forgotten. - Posted by: Paul Thorne (Former Work Colleague) on: Mar 12, 2022

  • Our hearts are broken. We are shocked and so sad. Ron was such a great man. We all have the best memories of him. The kindest, most generous, caring father ever and the best grandfather to his granddaughters. He would do anything for anyone and truly was a hero to Jo-Ann and his girls and their girls. We love you and we miss you already. May you rest in peace. So much love to the family. ~ Tom and Michelle xoxo - Posted by: Michelle and Tom (Family friends) on: Mar 12, 2022
