TIMOTHY JOHN SCOTT

We are extremely saddened to announce the passing of Timothy John Scott, always known as John.
He was born on November 23, 1960 to Leslie and Ivy Scott of Headingley. John was the youngest of five, Robert, Doug (Cheryl), Christine (Lawrence) and Betty (Lou). Mom told us our little brother was special and we had no idea how right she was.
John had always faced many challenges in his life, but his recent reoccurring bouts of pneumonia were more than his little body could take.
In John's early years in Headingley, he attended Kirkfield Park School. He really enjoyed his time working for RBM Gardens, Volvo Trucking and Purolator Courier. John was an avid fan of the Bombers and Jets. He loved attending all the family get-togethers and adored his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
John was always close to his mom and they went everywhere together. After Mom's passing, Dad and John eventually moved into Winnipeg. Approximately 22 years ago, John moved into a group home run by Winnserv. John lived on Scotswood, Sherburn and his final home on Whitegates. To each home, John brought his love and positive presence to the residents and staff who cared for him.
We are forever grateful to the kind workers at Winnserv who showed John so much love, Marc, Julie, Bob B, Dan and many more. He will be missed by his very special buddies, David, Kevin and Glenn.
To the doctors, nurses and aides at the Grace Hospital that showed respect and compassion for John, thank you.
Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 472 Kirkfield Street. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Winnserv.
Thank you, John, for teaching us unconditional love, perseverance and patience.
