BARRY WARRINER HEWITT
Barry passed away suddenly on March 21, 2022 from an unexpected heart attack at the age of 85.
Barry and Sheila, his wife and soulmate of 67 years, started as the proud parents of four children, Maureen, Neil, Dave, and Don. Over the years the family grew to include 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Barry considered his greatest accomplishment being a dad and a grandpa. He loved fishing, skiing, curling, and telling a good joke. His fondest memories were sharing these passions with his family.
A service will be held on a future date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

My condolences to the Family as you all have my sympathies. Barry, I first met you as a juvenile hockey player at Norberry CC. You were the Manager along with coaches Dunc MacLellan and Barry Whyte. Had a great time. And again when you were the Manitoba License Registrar for recreational vehicles. At the time I was the sales manager for Arctic Cat snowmobiles. I loved you for the way you were always smiling and had something good to say in negative situations. It was a pleasure in having shared some time with you thru hockey, work, and life. Barry I am Blessed and better for having known you. See you on the other side. - Posted by: Paul L Lagimodiere (friend) on: Mar 28, 2022

I have so many great memories with the Hewitt's from growing up in the neighborhood to present day. My favorites are the times spent at Falcon Lake cottage where Barry (Mr. H to me) would always welcome my family when we had our annual stay at Penguin just up the hill. We would drop over to fish and swim off the dock, have a beverage or share a meal. I'm sure Mr. H is up above sitting in a boat, catching his limit, with a big smile on his face. Thanks for the memories Mr. H. John Milani and family - Posted by: John Milani (Friend of Family) on: Mar 27, 2022

Barry was a class guy and someone you wanted as a friend and married one of the nicest girls in St. Vital, and although we didn't know all the family, those that did, had nothing but good things to say. When we spoke to Barry, he talked of the great times he and Shelia enjoyed at Falcon Lake, always regret I never got a golf game with he, Don Reid, Bart Jenner or Brian Davies. Our sincere & Deep Condolences to Shelia and Family. The Johnstones - Posted by: Tom & Evelyn Johnstone (Friends) on: Mar 27, 2022
